Announcing Social Networking Support

AccessFYI now supports Social Networking tools.

If you find something particularly interesting on AccessFYI, you can post it to your Facebook account instantly.

The new feature also supports Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon, delicious, and over 200 other social media platforms. You can even email your colleagues about your find using this new feature.

Just look for this button bar and you can utilize the feature.

You may have to download the Addthis feature for your browser (IE and Firefox), and then it should work like a charm. It took me 2 minutes to get both my browsers working and posting to Facebook with this feature.

Give it a shot and let me know how it works for you.

Thinner, Lighter Kindle 2 Wows Frequent Readers

Are you overwhelmed with the amount of paper you carry around just to keep up? I was. If you currently slog around pounds of books, reports and magazines, the Kindle 2 will rock your world.

The svelte new Kindle 2 is lighter, thinner, and faster than its predecessor. This is great news for frequent readers.

The Kindle 2 is wireless. Download an entire book in under 60 seconds. There are over 230,000 titles ready for download. Access over 1,000 blogs.

Just slip the Kindle 2 into your bag and go. It only weighs 10 ounces - about the same as a single magazine or newspaper.

The Kindle 2 screen has the look of print type. The advantage is you can store hundreds of books and magazines and always have the material you need with you. You can even copy your own reports and other PDF files onto the Kindle. Beats carrying an armload of books, magazines, and reports everywhere.

Nintendo Announces Wii Checkup Channel

If you don't already own a Nintendo Wii, you've certainly either played it or know someone who is addicted to the innovative gaming platform.

Nintendo has developed titles under the Wii Fit name to help people exercise. Now, they are taking personal health one step further.

Nintendo is teaming up with Hitachi, Panasonic, NEC, and an unnamed health insurance company to offer a new health channel. The channel will offer specific health advice and guidance, including activities related to the user's weight.

The channel will work in conjunction with the Wii Balance Board, the Walk With Me pedometers and the NEC mobile phone health platform. Look for an April 2009 launch date.

Which now begs the question - Will there be opportunities for pharmaceutical companies to integrate into this channel?
