The intern will be in an immersive environment and earn hands-on experience working with a vast variety of topics in the life sciences. Intern will have exposure to a comprehensive array of issues, companies and people in the industry. The potential contacts alone are invaluable to a student seeking a career in this field. Responsibilities will be determined based on the skills, availability and interests of the intern.

Duration
We are flexible. The Internship may correspond with your academic calendar (semester), or during summer break. The internship will have more benefit to all parties if it lasts at least three months, and results in at least 60 hours of work logged.
Credit
The institution will determine if and how much credit is to be awarded for this internship. accessFYI will provide a written summary regarding the intern’s performance during the internship. The educational institution may provide a feedback form for this purpose if desired.
Reflection Paper
Upon completion of the internship, the intern should write a Reflection Paper, which will be given to the university and accessFYI. The Reflection Paper is intended to provide useful feedback to the university and accessFYI. It should include:
1. Major areas of need/interest before the internship experience
2. Overview of major activities pursued during the internship
3. Major learning that resulted from the internship
4. Ways to apply what you learned now or in the future
5. Gaps or further learning areas needed
